During the week leading up to the game, participants attend camp, which includes regular practices along with a variety of fun activities.

Camp Week Schedule

July 18
10:00 a.m. – Coaches and Managers report to camp at the UNI Campus

July 19
1:00–2:00 p.m. – Players report to camp at Lawther Hall, UNI Campus (please refer to the UNI Campus map for reference)
Practices begin
Evening – A Shriners Children’s Ambassador will speak about their experience as a former Shriners Hospital patient

July 20
9:00–10:00 a.m. – Cheerleaders report to camp at Lawther Hall, UNI Campus

July 21
8:00 p.m. – Iowa Shrine Bowl Bowling Extravaganza at Maple Lanes (presented by Za Ga Zig Bowlers)

July 22
3:00–6:00 p.m. – Lost Island Water Park (sponsored by Bill & Lisa Northup)
6:30 p.m. – Picnic dinner at Gateway Park hosted by El Kahir Shrine

July 23
5:00–7:00 p.m. – Participant Hog Roast at Reinbeck VFW
Please wear your Iowa Shrine Bowl t-shirt and hat (presented by Dennis Wiley, PP)

July 24
10:00 a.m. – Beyond the Field: Mini Kids Camp for Shriners Children and their parents/guardians, along with Iowa Shrine Bowl participants and coaches at the UNI-Dome
BBQ lunch sponsored by Fareway
Educational sessions featuring Shriners Children’s Ambassadors and staff from Shriners Children’s Twin Cities

6:00 p.m. – Honor Banquet at the Hilton Garden Inn, Cedar Falls
Parents, family members, friends, and sponsors are welcome to attend
Advance registration and ticket purchase required
Meal price: $35 per person; game participants are complimentary

July 25
9:30 a.m. – Iowa Shrine Bowl Parade (Downtown Cedar Falls, Main Street)
Following the parade, participants gather at River Place Plaza for autographs and a pep rally
Participants should check out of Lawther Hall prior to the game

4:00 p.m. – Iowa Shrine Bowl Game at the UNI-Dome, Cedar Falls
Doors open at 2:00 p.m.
